Alberta Free-mo 2026

Site Information [ DRAFT ]

Location: Big Valley, AB  Google Map

No Alcohol On Premises

Due to insurance regulations, no alcohol is permitted inside the Agriplex.

Housekeeping

A sign-up sheet will be posted at the Agriplex, listing the tasks that need to be performed, and providing time slots for participants to choose which tasks and at what times they would like to volunteer. We expect everyone to help in keeping our set-up safe and clean.

Accommodations

There is an old rural hotel in Big Valley. There are several hotels and motels, including some chains, in Stettler, AB, about 20 minutes away. A quick check on the internet for Stettler accommodations will provide the options.

Early reservations are recommended, as there are other events in the area during the summer period.

Open Field Camping

As in past years, camping (tents, trailers, RV’s) will be allowed on the south grounds between the Agriplex and the ball diamonds. There will be no camping on the north side. This is open field camping, with no facilities or hook-ups provided. There may be a limited number of electrical connections available, and these may have to be shared on a rotating basis. There are no open fires allowed on the Agriplex grounds. Camping is at your own risk, and Calgary Free-mo will assume no liability for loss or injury occurring outside the Agriplex. If you intend to camp, please provide us with details of your camping equipment (tent, trailer, size, etc), and whether or not you might take advantage of an electrical hookup if available. The washrooms in the lobby and the showers in the team dressing rooms are available for our use at all times.

Public Campgrounds

There is a small public camping site in Big Valley, one in Stettler, and one near Big Valley.
